The product
Monthly reserved shoot days, the full gear package, and all the post on one predictable invoice. You stop producing video project-by-project; it just arrives.
Your days are on the calendar every month. The van arrives with the full camera, grip, lighting, and sound package and a shot plan built in your monthly planning call. No quotes, no procurement, no re-onboarding a new crew.
We plan each day to feed the whole month: interview setups for the hero video, b-roll passes, vertical-framed setups for cutdowns, and (with the photo add-on) stills along the way. One day of shooting becomes weeks of publishing.
Editing, graphics, licensed music, captions, platform-ready exports, delivered on a calendar. David reviews every hero deliverable.
Deliverable counts are maxima, not promises: the post-hours cap governs, and we manage it together in the open (see the FAQ). A hero video is up to 3 minutes: interview + b-roll, graphics, licensed music, brand QC. A cutdown is up to 60 seconds, re-cut from existing material, one aspect ratio. Hero videos are not part of Engine 1; they're available a la carte or by upgrading to Engine 2.
Photographer add-on: +$1,500/mo. One professional photo day per month plus an edited gallery. Available on any tier.
Engine 2 delivers the output of a 2–3 person in-house content team at roughly half the cost. That's the whole comparison, and we'll walk you through the numbers on a call. What a team can't give you at any price: the same crew, the same gear truck, and the same delivery standard showing up every month for years. Our average client relationship is over ten years old.
One Engine 2 shoot day, planned right:
A typical Engine 2 month lands 1 hero video and 4–6 cutdowns from 2 shoot days. That's a full publishing calendar from two days your team barely has to think about.
Output-board graphic coming: a grid of one real month's deliverables, refreshed monthly from actual work.
Coming: our founding client's 90-day output board. Tier, cadence, the board, and what it replaced, in their words, with real numbers.
Up to 10 hours, portal to portal, within 50 miles of downtown Atlanta, including load-in and load-out. Crew, camera, grip, lighting, and sound package included. Overtime past 10 hours is $250/hr, billed in half-hour increments and pre-approved by your named contact. Beyond 50 miles, travel is billed at cost, and a $500 travel-day fee applies when the one-way drive exceeds 3 hours.
No. This is the feature we're proudest of. Every contract has an automatic pause-and-choose at 80% of your monthly post-hours cap: work pauses, we get on the phone, and you choose. Stop there, trim scope, or continue at the overage rate ($85/hr, retainer clients only). It's pre-agreed in the SOW, so it's a planned checkpoint, not a scope negotiation. You'll never open an invoice and learn something.
Two rounds per deliverable are included. A round is one consolidated set of notes from your named approver. Further rounds are $85/hr.
Shoot days roll a maximum of one month, then expire. Post hours don't roll: the Engine works because it runs monthly. If your calendar has a genuinely quiet stretch, use the pause month instead: one per 12 months with 30 days' notice (not available November or December).
You own every deliverable outright. Raw footage is yours too, on request, at media and transfer cost. No ransom, no per-project licensing games. We keep raws for 90 days after delivery as standard; extended archive is available at $150/mo.
Initial term is 3 months, then month-to-month with 30 days' written notice. Billing is ACH on the 1st, prepaid. (A 6-month initial term applies on accounts that underwrite a full-time hire; it'll be in your SOW, not sprung on you.)
A SkipShot Studio crew running the Robertson Standard: the same gear spec, checklists, and delivery standard whether David is holding the camera or directing from the monitor. David reviews every hero deliverable. More on the Standard.
We'll look at your content calendar and show you the board a real Engine month produces.
